Google’s Assistant Go brings its all-powerful Assistant to low-cost phones enabling them to come on board the Google universe. This app aims to offer a similar experience as the standard Google Assistant in a much smaller form without taking up much RAM. This way users can do quick voice searches and join the fun.

Because Assistant Go is a toned-down or a leaner version of the original version it lacks advanced features. Such as hands-free voice activation, reminders, controls for smart home devices, and other advanced capabilities. But if you use an old phone that is already slowing down or has low memory then it will be perfect.

Click on the download button above to download and install the Google Assistant Go app. With this app, you will be able to use your voice to get directions to the nearest coffee shop and make calls hands free. From your phone, you can quickly access the Google Assistant Go edition by tapping on the Assistant app icon or long-pressing the home button on your phone. Assistant Go is currently only available in English, and we expect more languages to follow. Because the Android Go initiative seems to be largely targeted at emerging markets.
